Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:

  • Pictures and other information from your Device's camera and photo library

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Face Data

The core feature of Chadify requires you to submit a photo that may contain your face or likeness. The following describes exactly how this data is handled:

  • What we collect: A single photo provided by you via the device camera or photo library. This photo may contain a face or other biometric likeness. We do not extract facial landmarks, biometric templates, embeddings, or any other derived face data — only the raw image is processed.
  • How it is used: The photo is used solely to generate an AI-styled portrait transformation. It is transmitted securely to Google LLC (Gemini API) for image processing. No other use is made of the photo.
  • Third-party sharing: Your photo is shared with Google LLC (Gemini API, operated by Google) for the sole purpose of processing the transformation. Google does not retain the image for model training or any other purpose beyond processing the request, in accordance with Google's API terms of service. No other third parties receive your photo.
  • Storage: Your original photo is transmitted to our backend infrastructure (Convex) only for the duration of the transformation process. It is permanently and immediately deleted from our servers as soon as the transformed result is generated — typically within seconds. The transformed result image is stored on Convex infrastructure until you choose to delete it.
  • Retention: Your original photo is retained for seconds only — it is deleted immediately after the transformation is complete. The transformed result is retained until you delete it through the app or delete your account.

We may retain Personal Data beyond the periods stated above only for legal obligations, legal claims, or technical backup limitations.
